As part of one of my final university briefs in collaboration with Jo Malone, I created my own fragrance brand. I created Crowne out of a personal need and cultural vision: as a young Black woman, I often found that mainstream beauty and haircare products overlooked the needs of protective hairstyles like braids, twists, and locs—styles that hold deep cultural significance and pride. Crowne was born to fill this gap with intention, representation, and quality.

The name "Crowne" celebrates these hairstyles as symbols of identity, pride, and heritage. The brand empowers individuals by combining self-expression with high-quality, natural hair fragrances made specifically for their needs. Crowne serves an underserved audience with:

  • Products tailored to protective styles

  • Clean, nourishing ingredients

  • A luxury experience that celebrates culture and style

  • Space for innovation in an untapped niche
